Wings is our 1984 Passport 40, hull 78. Like all Passports (as well as boats in the Baba, Tayana, Valiant, Nordic, Choey Lee, Freeport, Espirit, and Islander lines) of her vintage, she was designed by Robert Perry of Seattle, Washington. She was built at King Dragon Shipyard in Taiwan and fitted-out in Seattle. We are her third owners.
We've sailed Wings since 2000, and explored Alaska until our departure in 2010. As everyone knows, Alaska has more coastline than the rest of the US combined, so short sails from our ex-home port of Seward, AK, put us in very remote waters.
Since 2010, we have been spending half the year aboard, taking Wings further south.
The photo below of Conni and Bill was taken in Holgate Arm, Aialik Bay.
